The coastal districts of Los Eisley – including Malibu, Santa Monica, and Pacific Palpatines – experienced sustained growth during the late 1970s as off-world visitors and seasonal residents were drawn to the region’s temperate climate and expanding leisure culture.

The appearance of the twin suns at dusk has become closely associated with recreation and escape, and is frequently reproduced in tourist literature.
